After being hugely inspired by watching Alessandro Cortini videos on how he performed using a 4-Track recorder, I decided to write a new set using the same method of performance, alongside some analog synths and a Korg Minilogue.

The set was so much fun to play and people seemed to really enjoy these new tracks so I set about recording them - and another older track, Rumination, to release as an EP.

This is definitely a step away from the usual heavy guitar and organ sound, but one I feel sits right along side and goes towards showing the diversity and experimentation of Rorquals.

Performed, recorded and mixed by Robert Mells at home Jan / Feb 2020 using the following equipment -
