Yggdrasil_music What a delightful trio of tracks! All three are very well matched and feel like they were written in the same session. I can't pick a favourite as they all work so nicely together and I would always listen to all three of them together. Track 1 is the more laid back of them and has an almost dreamy quality to it. Tracks two and three are classic Rorquals but have a real underlying horror soundtrack vibe to them. They constantly build tension and left me wanting more!

Earlier this year I performed at the Control Voltage EMOM for the first time. I had recently purchased a Korg Electribe 2 sampler and was just getting to grips with it. I don't generally perform beat driven pieces but I thought with this new bit of gear it would be the perfect chance to try out something a little different.

It was great fun playing a set which had a driving beat behind it and I was really pleased with the way the pieces came out, so I decided to record them. Thinking the process would be straight forward and take a week or so, it has actually ended up taking far longer, almost 2-3 months!! I guess working with beats and getting the pieces to sound the way I thought they should was way more tricky then I had initially thought.

Anyways, perseverance is the key and I'm finally at a stage where I'm pretty happy with them. So here you have my new EP - PURIFYSEVERCORRUPT

Available in a limited edition mini CD format in a metal tin (cool huh??) and the usual digital download. I hope you enjoy these tracks....maybe they might lead to more beat driven stuff down the line!
