In early 2021 I was asked by my good friend Dan Keeble from 127 Films and Indie Ark Productions to score a new short film he was in the process of shooting. I had previously finished the soundtrack to Conversations in Lockdown but I had never undertaken an actual film score - so I was incredibly honoured to be asked and to have Dan’s trust placed in my music.

Over the course of several weeks I gradually composed the score, whilst following various ideas and guidelines that Dan had. He was a real blast to work with, giving me a huge amount of creative control but also working together with me to make this the best score we could for his film.

VIA[DOLO] being my first ever score, is a piece I’m incredibly proud of and really wanted to release for you all to hear. I wanted to put out a physical version but only being 7 minutes long, it was definitely going to need some further material. So I came up with the idea of doing extended mixes. Taking each of the pieces or themes from the film, and either embellishing and lengthening them, or in some cases, evolving them into whole new pieces.

This album starts with the original score from the film, and then following in chronological order are 8 new pieces / extended mixes. I’d like to thank Dan again for his trust and enthusiasm in my work.
