Live for Culture as a Dare @ Twenty One 26/02/22

about

Culture as a Dare is a experimental music institution in Southend on Sea, so when I was asked by Emma to perform at their first one back since all the craziness, I jumped at the chance. It took place at a venue called Twenty One on Southend seafront on the 26th February '22, and was actually 26 months, yeap, over two years since the last time I had played proper actual live show myself.

I decided to write a new set for this special occasion and not only thought it'd be great to get the Tascam 414 out again, but I had also been experimenting with running sequences from the Korg Minilogue through the Make Noise Strega. So there you go, the gear was chosen, and with a few samples made from a Butone drum to start the set in an ambient sort of vibe, alongside some drones made on the Rucci Maximal Drone, and some cool sequences created on the Korg, I was ready to roll.

I had a blast playing the set, and about 80% of went kind of according to plan, but all in attendance seemed to enjoy it which was super cool. So here it is in its entirety. I really hope you enjoy it.
